Since 2007, the CrossFit Games have been held annually in the USA. However, the youngest event, in which only the world’s best athletes participate, quickly grew and the sport of CrossFit received more and more attention. Only three years after the first CrossFit Games, some athletes took advantage of the upswing of the young sport and founded 2POOD, one of the first clothing companies in the CF industry.

Especially in terms of design, the company founded in 2010, which made its debut at the CrossFit Sectionals in the same year, stood out clearly. 2POOD quickly became known for its colorful products and camouflage patterns. “At the time, there weren’t many companies in the CrossFit industry, let alone companies that thought outside the box when it came to design,”Donegan said. The operations manager has been part of the 2POOD team since 2011, which at that time consisted of just two people. He has been managing the company since 2017 and is currently supported by two other full-time and four part-time employees who take care of the storage. “Two years ago, we were also acquired by two talented entrepreneurs and fitness enthusiasts who are helping us take 2POOD to the next level.”

Founded by CrossFit athletes and initially known mainly in the CrossFit industry, the American lifestyle brand has now made a name for itself beyond that. For example, 2POOD is the official supplier of USA Weightlifting and thus used by a large number of American athletes such as Mattie Rodgers and CJ Cummings. And especially the colorful and eye-catching weightlifting belts have done it to many. They are not only worn by American weightlifters and games athletes such as Haley Adams and Emma Cary, but they are also becoming increasingly popular with the general public of CrossFit boxes and gyms. “The fact that top athletes trust our belts and equipment when it comes to everything is incredibly motivating. Since 2011, the American lifestyle brand has been part of the CrossFit Games, has supported thousands of small events up to Wodapalooza, and accompanied athletes on their way. “We were born in this community we serve and have lived there ever since. A great product forms the basis, and the way we support the community makes us grow.”
